El figatell It is an artisanal preparation made with meat from various parts of the pig. The flavor depends on the part chosen, the species incorporated and the amounts used. This traditional product, typical of the Marina Alta and La Safor, is the undisputed protagonist in the Mercat de Dénia this week.
From Tuesday 26 and until June's 30, Nine of the eleven butchers from the Mercado de Dénia will offer the figatell unit to 0'30 cents, and thanks to explanatory panels, customers will be able to know the details of the butcher shop and this typical product.
The butchers participating in this campaign are: Carnisseria Marina Alta; Butcher shop Juanito; Carnisseria Maite; Carnisseria Montse Cabot; Carnisseria Felix Pastor; Carnisseria l'Avi Juanito; Carnisseria Alacreu; Carnisseria Corella and Carnisseria JA Lillo.
In addition, the bars Magallanes and Viciano will offer during these days tapas of figatell and a drink for 2 euros, allowing thus to discover this meat proposal so ours.
The campaign to promote figatell will be completed on Thursday, June 28 day, with a showcooking in the central part of the market where customers can see live how the kitchen is cooked figatell and its variants.
The councilor of the Municipal Market, Javier Scotto, explained that this campaign is the first of many others in which the Mercat and its products will be promoted in a sectorized and specific manner, with the aim of linking each activity to a specific season of the year.
