Hospital San Carlos Office of Dénia of the HLA Group launches a new Home Care Unit with the aim of bringing the main hospital services closer to the patient. “With this new Unit we seek to offer the best service and maximum comfort to our patients, without the need to travel to the hospital.” explains Rafael Mudarra, coordinator of the Unit.
The team is made up of a family doctor, a nurse and a physiotherapist, who can consult the patient's history through a telematic connection.
“The family doctor monitors patients with cardiovascular risk (diabetics, hypertensives, dyslipidemia, among others) and consults with other patients
chronic. Post-surgical rehabilitation programs are carried out in the physiotherapist service and the nursing service supervises the administration of prescribed treatments (both intramuscular and intravenous), replacement of bladder catheters, vaccination, extractions, electrocardiograms, COVID tests, etc. With these tests it is possible to carry out, without leaving home, a complete pre-operative in the absence of the pre-anesthesia consultation”, explains Mudarra.
