The regional paddle surf team 'Leclercq SUP team' started the Mediterranean SUP Circuit

Leclercq SUP team, a Stand Up Paddle or Rowing Surf competition team, made up of athletes from Jávea and Dénia has participated in the first regatta of the 2019 Mediterranean SUP Circuit held on March 10 in Burriana.

The elite category competed in a demanding and varied race course of 10 km with different wind and wave conditions, as well as technical buoys and a boarding per 50 meters of beach.

In the highest category Cristina López de San Román entered the finish line with a time of 01:22:34, qualifying ninth overall and in turn reaching second place in the Elite 14 Master 40 women's box. Kyle Cochrane had a good race, entering the finish line with a time of 01:12:34 and qualifying in the fifteenth position of Elite14. Emilio Irigoyen, a local athlete based in Marina de Dénia, completed the 10 km in a time of 01:16:29, arriving in the 24th position of Elite 14 and 5th in the male Master 40 class.

In the female Amateur category, the javiense Vicky Hernández took the top of the podium.
