Dianense Álex Monllor finished a 'Berlin Marathon' that was historic

During the whole week there is talk and much of the Berlin Marathon, it is not for less, since his winner, the Olympic champion, Eliud Kipchogue, established a new record in the distance, when finishing the test in 2: 01.40 after dominating from beginning to end.

In that test, a Dianense, Álex Monllor was participating and managed to finish it in the 7.748 position of the general classification, being the 1.223 of its category. His time was 3: 38, a time away from his brands in 40 minutes approximately. Monllor did not arrive well as far as his physical condition, since in his last long training, he suffered the rain that fell in Dénia and this caused him to run a cold.

After a few days of recovery came the moment of the race and went quite well with good feelings. He crossed the half marathon with a time of 1: 33.34, a time according to his usual ones. It was from kilometer 27 when his body said "enough"And had to lower his pace, his legs did not work and the pulsations went up quickly, opting to lower his effort and began to enjoy the test forgetting to make a mark.

Monllor explains his feelings

Monllor defined the German test, as "a very fast marathon and nice pity that because of the cold my body did not respond, although I have run tests much harder than this".

The Dianense laments that inopportune cooling that he took, "it's a pity that you're training all summer so that after a rain of nothing goes to ruin. But hey, I've managed to finish the second of the six big marathons and I have four left, so I'll keep working to finish those races".
