Dénia Básquet faces the Christmas break with a weekend of mixed results

18 December 2023 - 11: 21

Last weekend was marked by intense activity for the teams of Dénia Básquet, with outstanding victories and some challenges in their performance in different categories.

Senior Male 1st National: DBC SUMA 82-65 CBI Elche

The DBC SUMA Senior Men's 1st National team achieved an important victory by beating CBI Elche 82-65. This victory brings the team closer to the group that is fighting to enter the playoffs for promotion to the EBA League. Despite CBI Elche's position at the bottom of the standings, the match demonstrated the high level of demand of the league, requiring constant effort. DBC SUMA responded to the pressure in the final quarter, securing the victory and consolidating their position.

Regional Female Senior: San Blas 50-40 DBC

The Senior Women suffered a defeat on their visit to CB San Blas de Alicante. Although they were looking to move up the table, the lack of initial intensity and the difficulties in overcoming the local zonal defense complicated their performance. Despite the obstacles, the players' efforts are recognized in a match that took place in adverse conditions.

Senior Male Preferred: DBC 78-85 CB Picassent

Facing a complicated match against CB Picassent, the Preferred Senior Men showed resilience despite the losses in the squad and the physical superiority of the rival. A notable second period offensively kept things competitive, but CB Picassent secured the victory in the end. Despite the difficulties, the team will rest until January 13, when it will face Burjassot in a new challenge in the competition.

Dénia Básquet is now preparing for a well-deserved Christmas break, before resuming the competition in January with renewed energy and determination.
