The Marina Alta is once again among the regions with the highest rate of coronavirus infections. In departments, where the figures are more appreciable, Dénia, on which the entire region depends, is already among the 5 with the highest incidence of coronavirus in the Valencian Community.

Just a month ago, the Marina Alta had the best coronavirus data for the second semester. But a weeks later, with bridges and festivities in between, they have made all optimism darken. Now, to make matters worse, it is not fair to blame Christmas since it is still too early to know the consequences of these. Therefore, we are talking about a situation that is what we faced last week at Christmas events.

These data, unfortunately, are expected to worsen in the following updates when the infections suffered at Christmas are added. In addition, Public Health informed the town councils of the region that, indeed, we were going through one of the hardest moments. So much so that they reported that they could not add all the cases to the latest update since PCR tests were accumulating too much since last December 24 due to an increase in requests.
