The first meeting of the Consell d'Urbanisme of Dénia of the new legislature, held yesterday, discussed a municipal proposal to limit the work schedule during the summer months, with the aim of "improving the rest and well-being of both residents as well as visitors," according to the councilor.
During July and August, it is proposed to reduce the time slot for carrying out noisy work, incorporating the express prohibition of working on weekends and holidays. Furthermore, on public roads, only emergency actions would be carried out during these two months.
councilwoman Mr. Josep Ripoll He emphasized that "this proposal is a starting point to work with the tourism and construction sectors on regulations that are as consensual as possible for all those involved."
Ripoll also added: "The total prohibition of works in summer is not contemplated in Dénia, unlike other tourist municipalities such as Calp, given the high number of requests for minor works, around 1.700 a year."
Currently, the schedule of the works is regulated by the Noise Pollution Prevention Ordinance of 1994, which prohibits the creation of noise between 22:00 p.m. and 08:00 a.m., as well as between 15:00 p.m. 17:00 p.m. from June 1 to September 30.
The final proposal that is agreed upon with the sectors involved will be introduced as a modification that limits this schedule.
