The councilman of Culture chairs the honor of the bullfighter Ignacio Sanchez Mejias

Last Saturday, the Taurine Peña Maestranza organized a tribute conference with the title "Ignacio Sánchez MejÃas, the bitterness of triumph", extolling the figure of the mythical bullfighter.

The event was attended by the councilor for culture, Juan Sancho, who praised the work of the peña by offering cultural events that demonstrate the cultural richness of Dénia, as well as the importance of private associations in the local culture.

The event ended with a poetry recital by rapsoda José Vicente González and dianense writer and rapsoda Vicent Balaguer, both accompanied by guitarist Eduardo Mateo and dancer Belén Mateo, from the House of Andalusia in Dénia.
