Last Saturday, the Taurine Peña Maestranza organized a tribute conference with the title "Ignacio Sánchez MejÃas, the bitterness of triumph", extolling the figure of the mythical bullfighter.
The event was attended by the councilor for culture, Juan Sancho, who praised the work of the peña by offering cultural events that demonstrate the cultural richness of Dénia, as well as the importance of private associations in the local culture.
The event ended with a recital of poetry by the rapporteur José Vicente González and the dians writer and rapporteur Vicent Balaguer, both accompanied by the guitarist Eduardo Mateo and the dancer Belén Mateo, from the Casa de Andalucía Denia.
