The next 14 in June the Medical Association of Alicante, whose headquarters reside in the hospital HLA San Carlos, intentará batir el récord de donaciones de sangre. El año pasado se consiguierin 124 donaciones gracias a la campaña ‘Dona sangre con mucho gusto’.
Coincidiendo con el día mundial de Donante de Sangre, esta nueva maratón bajo el lema ‘Práctica el doning’, pretende concienciar sobre esta practica saludable para la sociedad. Y es que ahora que se acerca la época estival, es cuando más necesidad de sangre se dan y con una donación se pueden salvar tres vidas.
HLA again has the collaboration of the well-known chef Pepe Rodríguez who will prepare a special recipe for the sandwich that will be given to each volunteer after the donation. In addition, among all participants in the marathon will be raffled a dinner for two people.
The objective for this year is to overcome the two hundred donations with which to be able to give assistance to 900 people in a situation of risk. Any person who has normal physical conditions can be a donor: adult between 18 and 65 years, a weight greater than 50 kilos, optimal health conditions and residence in Spain.
Involving the whole society
