The Peñón de Ifach witnessed the premiere of the SUMA rowing league of Banco Fijo del Mediterráneo. A total of 38 boats gathered in Calpe, to play the first of the competitions this season.
The morning started with the regatta of the female veteran category. The competition was played against the clock, so the teams went out every minute to complete the 5000 meters of course that made up the race course. The winners were the RCN girls. Torrevieja
In male veteran, the CN. The Campello reached the first position. In this category we must highlight the fourth place achieved by C. Rem Dénia.
The third run of the SUMA league was played in the senior women's category. After completing the regatta, the Rowing Club Cofradía de Pescadores de Torrevieja achieved the victory, while the RCN team. Dénia finished in fifth place.
The last category in the competition was the senior men. The Polytechnic of Valencia reached the first position ahead of the Regatas Club of Alicante and the University of Alicante. The RCN vessel. Dénia finished in sixth place.
With the regatta of Calpe, the 2013-2014 season of the SUMA league begins its course. The next test will be the December 1 in the Valencian town of Oliva. There, the teams will play another half-depth test, 5000 meters, in which they will have to fight to position themselves in the league.
