The Paris-Camp Roig neighborhood will be greener with the future trees proposed by the Dénia City Council

15 December 2023 - 12: 46

The first draft of the redevelopment project for Sagunt Street was presented yesterday to residents attending the Paris-Camp Roig neighborhood meeting, which took place at House of Culture. The Territorial Councilor, Maria Josep Ripoll, was in charge of exposing the main lines of the project promoted by the Dénia City Council, whose main objective is "to make this commercial artery of the city more pleasant."

To achieve this objective, one of the main measures is the expansion of the sidewalks to 3 meters wide, reorganizing the streetlights currently installed. This involves transforming street parking into online parking, as was already done during the pandemic, and losing some spaces in favor of gaining a street that is pleasant, comfortable and passable without obstacles for pedestrians.

The planting of trees along the street is another of the pillars of the action, as Ripoll explained. A measure that, in addition to the environmental benefits that urban greenery entails, will improve the aesthetics of the complex and also the feeling of well-being of passers-by.

Finally, the Councilor for Territory announced that the installation of a new battery of underground containers is planned, which will be added to the two existing ones.

The budget for the work is 1.116.339,59 euros, with an expected execution period of 9 months. The final project is expected to be completed in February 2024.

This city is a disaster. Full of poorly parked cars, people who park anywhere and leave their cars with their indicators on, zebra crossings with hardly any paint, everything is dirty, the gardens are truly sad due to the lack of maintenance. This is disgusting.

Thank you very much Mr. Grimalt, car owners in the area will be very grateful to you.
    Long live progress.

And when the same thing happens on Marquisado Avenue, without trees and very narrow sidewalks
