City Council rescinds contract with the architects who drafted the General Plan

21 March 2015 - 00: 00

The Governing Board of the City of Dénia has agreed to terminate the contract in 2010 signed with the architectural EA for the drafting of land-use planning (PGOU). The Town Planning, Vicente Chelet, has indicated that this work was "unfeasible" since it was not adapted to the new urban legislation that came into force in the summer of 2014. It has also indicated that it did not conform to the phases initially marked, since none of the five alternatives that it proposed are valid. In fact, the project obtained negative reports from other supramunicipal administrations. Currently it is pending to reach an agreement with the contractor for the payments of the works "Actually made".

The Board has also approved this week 2014 budget settlement. Chelet assessed as positive the results of the exercise of 2014, which closed with budget surplus "More than 5 million euros". The councilman added that this positive trend will continue in 2015 and noted that late living with banks debt will stand at 25 million euros. This assumes that the municipal debt will be below 50%.
