The city council will appeal the sentence imposed for having provided minimal services the Center of Denia of Santa Llúcia

The Councilor for Human Resources, María Mut, has announced that the city council will appeal the judicial ruling that reproves it for having provided the Day Center for dependent elderly people of Santa Llúcia with minimal services in the general strike of May 30.

At the Negotiating Table convened before the strike, the majority of representatives agreed to include the Day Center among the essential minimum services. However, the Union of Public Employees (SEP), appealed the decree of minimum services "alleging that the Day Center is not an essential service and could be closed," said Mut.

Now, the ruling gives the reason to the complainant union "against all logic and the opinion of the municipality and the rest of the unions that make up the Negotiating Table", so the council has decided to appeal it "inappropriate and exorbitant."
