The Councilor for Human Resources, María Mut, has announced that the council will appeal the court ruling that rejects him for having provided the Day Center for seniors dependent on Santa Llúcia in the general strike of 30 last May.
At the Negotiating Table convened before the strike, the majority of representatives agreed to include the Day Center among the essential minimum services. However, the Union of Public Employees (SEP), appealed the decree of minimum services "alleging that the Day Center is not an essential service and could be closed," said Mut.
Now, the ruling gives the reason to the complainant union "against all logic and the opinion of the municipality and the rest of the unions that make up the Negotiating Table", so the council has decided to appeal it "inappropriate and exorbitant."
