The City Council of Dénia has announced its intention to join the State fund of Impulso Económico to finance the execution of final judgments to be able to face the condemnatory sentence that forces him to pay 6 millions of euros to the owners of a plot on Miguel Hernández Avenue.
The history goes back years, when the Paqui Viciano executive expropriated the lands, destined to the construction of a second health center that never arrived. As explained by the current mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the ruling condemned the City Council for breaching the agreement established in 2008 by the government of Party, to pay 6 million euros to the owners.
This year, days before the elections, the executive of Ana Kringe signed an agreement whereby this figure would be paid to the owners in a fractional way until the 2025 year, which would generate 2,4 million euros interest.
Now, with the adhesion to this state fund, the City Council will pay suddenly the six million that owes to the owners with more favorable conditions regarding the interests, since during the first year interest will not be paid and the two following years, until 2018, they are deficiency. From 2019 the interest will be set for the public debt, according to the councilor of finance, Paco Roselló.
The deadline to apply for this membership ends next July 15, so on Friday afternoon an extraordinary committee of finance was convened in which this matter will be treated with the intention of submitting it for the approval of an extraordinary plenary session next Monday. in the afternoon.
