Secondary school students learn in the workshops of «La Mar de ciències»

The activities of "La Mar de ciéncies" continue throughout the month of April. The exhibition at the Municipal House of Culture and the conferences held last week are now joined by more than 160 students who during these weeks are attending workshops in which they learn more about scientific-technological aspects of the marine world, focusing on the Sea. Mediterranean.

The workshops, which are also developed in the Municipal House of Culture, focus on the marine world in a practical way: invertebrates that inhabit the waters, oceanographic research, whale watching or playing sea turtles.

As a complement to these activities, the students yesterday attended a sailing trip along the coasts of Dénia and Xàbia in which they simulated sampling methods in the marine environment, and on April 15 another trip will be carried out along the coast of Altea and Benidorm to observe cetaceans, turtles and seabirds.
