The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, confined after testing positive for coronavirus

30 December 2021 - 09: 56

It seems that the sixth wave of the coronavirus, fifth in the Valencian Community, is difficult to get rid of. The number of infections in Dénia continues to increase with each update, registering more than a hundred cases in each of these. Nearby are the records from a year ago, from the stage known as the third wave, when the Marina Alta suffered the highest incidence since the start of the pandemic.

However, hospital pressure and the death toll have little to do with it. Although infections are high, the percentage of cases that must be hospitalized is increasingly reduced thanks to vaccination. But, as we have seen, it does not imply that there are not a large number of population confined to their homes today.

Among these is the mayor of Dénia who made public yesterday afternoon on his social media profiles that he had tested positive for coronavirus. "Well yes, positive also as a good part of the Spanish population and confined at home for a few days," he announced Vicent Grimalt on your Facebook.

It confirms its contagion one day before the ordinary plenary session corresponding to December, which the City Council decided to make it telematic again, for the first time since April, due to the situation of the coronavirus. However, according to Grimalt, the symptoms he suffers are not serious, so he can continue working from home "in a different way."

The mayor has taken the opportunity to launch a message appealing to responsibility and inviting the residents to be vaccinated: «Take care and take care of ourselves by being responsible to the maximum in this new wave of the virus, that if one thing has shown us is that getting vaccinated is the Better option".

Of course the mayor is vaccinated, one, two, three and perhaps more times. So why does he fall ill? Could it be that the supposed vaccine does not protect? So, it is not a vaccine, it is nothing more than a prophylactic treatment, and also not very effective. Come on Mr. Mayor, explain yourself; Are you vaccinated, yes or no?

«Is it proven that this is the result of vaccination? Hasn't the virus changed? Isn't there more immunity in the population? Or for other reasons? A change in testing maybe, who and when? Just for the vaccines, right?
