November 24 from 2015 - 09: 00

The controversial works on the road to Les Marines, in the section between the El Palmar and Nova Dénia urbanizations, this week they have received a response from the Diputación de Alicante, which is in charge of its execution.

At a meeting with officials from the City Council, from Council they have insisted that the aim of the works is to improve pedestrian safety trying to create a new urban road where cars can not exceed 40 kilometers per hour.

The technicians of the Diputación explained that this project dates from 2008 and was resumed in 2013 «sin ningún tipo de objeción y ni oposición por parte del anterior equipo de gobierno».

As reported by the technicians, the works will be completed in ten days and asked the representatives of the city council that after a trial period of several weeks, move to provincial body all proposals for adjustments and improvements on safety and operation of the new road to ensure the safety of all circulating on the road to Les Marines.
