Landslides, landslides and suspension of classes: balance temporary Dénia

November 13 from 2012 - 00: 00

The week in Dénia has started very strong: on Monday, at the 6 of the morning, the Generalitat decreed the preemergence meteorological level red by rain and strong winds. For hours the water did not stop and 70 liters per square meter were collected in the capital of Marina Alta.

The most conflictive places were again the usual: on the road to Las Marinas several roads ended up flooded, the entrance to the city showed flooded roundabouts at the first moment and several beaches disappeared by the sea.

On the road from Dénia to Jávea, a wall came off Canopus street, on the hill of San Nicolás, being cut off to traffic and without regretting personal injuries. The Fondo de la Xara road also had to be cut to traffic.

The fishing fleet did not go fishing. In the port, a break in the old fish market, which is being rehabilitated, put the workers on alert, although there was no need to regret any personal damage.

As an anecdote, throughout the morning we could see some brave people who took advantage of the storm to practice windsurfing in areas such as Playa de la Marineta, one of the most affected by the storm.

10: 30 the rain stopped, but not the wind, which punished the city throughout the day and today will be the protagonist with strong gusts throughout the day.
