Landslides, landslides and suspension of classes: balance temporary Dénia

November 13 from 2012 - 00: 00

The week in Dénia has started very strong: on Monday, at 6 in the morning, the Generalitat decreed the red level meteorological pre-emergency due to rain and strong winds. For hours the water did not stop and 70 liters per square meter were collected in the capital of the Marina Alta.

The most conflictive places were once again the usual ones: on the Las Marinas highway, several roads were flooded, the entrance to the city showed flooded roundabouts and several beaches meals disappeared by the sea.

On the road to Dénia Jávea a wall of Canopus came off the street, on the hill of St. Nicholas, being closed to traffic without no injuries. The Camí Fondo de la Xara was also cut to traffic.

The fishing fleet did not go fishing. In the port, a break in the old fish market, which is being rehabilitated, put the workers on alert, although there was no need to regret any personal damage.

Anecdotally, we could see over the morning some brave people who took the time to practice windsurfing in areas such as Marineta Beach, one of the most affected by the storm.

10: 30 the rain stopped, but not the wind, which punished the city throughout the day and today will be the protagonist with strong gusts throughout the day.
