Collapsing a portion of the wall of the castle of Dénia affected by a dangerous crack

The City Council of Dénia has demolished part of the castle wall of the city in which some cracks recently appeared that advanced at great speed, posing a great danger of collapse. It was the residents of the Les Roques neighborhood who noticed the appearance of the crack at the beginning of the wall, next to the Olivera roundabout.

Planning technicians followed up and decided to act to prevent risks. For a few days, coinciding with Easter, a protective fences were installed, and Thursday proceeded to the collapse of the affected area, which corresponds to an added installed to remodel the wall. Councilwoman planning, Maria Josep Ripoll said that has not been touched and the original wall that derruído has no equity.

From the planning department they hope that in a couple of days the work is finished. To perform the work, the same architect who designed the renovation of the walls has overseen the work, supporting the decision to tear it down and rebuild the affected part.
