The Real Club Náutico de Dénia is preparing for one of the most important nautical events of the year. The next 23 and 24 of February, the club facilities will host the regional test of Optimist Deniavela 2019. This event, one of the competitions with the greatest participation of the Valencian Community, is scheduled "a participation of 200 vessels", as reported Jaime Portolés, President of Real Club Nautico Denia.
The Deniavela 2019 regatta will start on Saturday 23 with the opening of the race office at 9: 30 hours. The start of the tests will start at 12 hours. On Sunday 24 the day will start at the 11: 00 in the morning with the second day of testing and will end with the delivery of trophies to the 17: 00 hours approximately.
It is an Open and scoring regatta for class A, open for Optimist A and / or international clubs or other communities. For class B it is not an Open regatta, only sailors of the Valencian Sailing Federation being authorized.
The Real Club Náutico de Dénia will wear a party during that weekend, since, as the president recalled, "This is a very important weekend for Dénia at the tourist and promotional level". Vicent Crespo, councilor for sports, wanted to highlight "the effort of the club in this type of events that are very good for Dénia".
