Dénia will be the site of the V Symposiums of Onomastics and Toponymy of the Marinas and the Safor

The Valencian Academy of Language has chosen Denia for the celebration, the next 25 and 26 of February, of the V Days of Onomastics and Toponymy of the Marinas and Safor.

The conference, in which more than 70 people have already registered, will take place at the Municipal House of Culture and four lectures and 15-minute talks have been scheduled after which public participation will open.

Emili Casanova, presidente de la sección de Onomástica de la Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua, afirmó en la presentación de las jornadas que la Marina Alta es «donde más se ha trabajado la onomástica, como bien demuestra el trabajo llevado a cabo por el profesor Joan Ivars Cervera, todo un referente para investigaciones que se han hecho posteriormente».
