The Local Government studies remodel the facade of the Municipal Mercat before the summer begins. The project envisages improvement works presented and painting, changing the signage that is in disrepair and covering all electrical wiring that runs with an aluminum distorted. Total budget of these works amounts to about 22.000 euros.
councilman Vicente Chelet He justified the need for the reforms due to "the arrival of summer. The image of the city is very important" and denied that they had to do with the proximity of the elections. He added that the intention is to approve the works at the next government meeting.
The subsidy of the Provincial Council
He also referred to the proposed installation of a new air conditioning system in the market. Chelet recalled that this is a performance sponsored by the Provincial Council of Alicante and which will be tendered by the provincial agency in the last quarter of the year. The budget amounts to 240.000 euros, of which the Council will provide 170.000.
