26 September 2023 - 10: 38

The Dénia City Council has taken a step towards labor inclusion by hiring five people with functional diversity through the EMDISC Program (Social Initiative Grants Program). These contracts have a duration of nine months and began on September 22, covering a period of full-time work until June 21, 2024.

Under the Avalem Capacitats-Emdisc 2023 program, the Dénia City Council has provided employment to two janitors, two administrative assistants and one administrative assistant. All of these people, previously unemployed and with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%, were registered as job seekers in Labora spaces.

The Department of Economic Promotion, through CREAMA, managed the granting of these aid granted by the Generalitat Valenciana-Labora, with a total amount of 108.368 euros. The main objective of these hires is to provide employment to a vulnerable group of priority attention, which has historically faced a high percentage of unemployment.

This program aims to facilitate the social and labor adaptation of people with functional diversity and achieve their labor integration, helping them to full inclusion in society.
