Compromís will also propose that the payment of the occupation fee for public roads be suspended

Compromís will also urge the government team to agree to the suspension of the employment rate for the hospitality sector until 2021, as has been done in other municipalities, such as Valencia, and along the lines of the proposal which the Popular Party of Dénia has just made public.

"The agreement is essential so that bars, cafes and restaurants can recover economically after the crisis, and even more so taking into account the losses in the sector after Fallas and Easter, and the expected tourist occupation for the summer", explains Eva Ronda, councilor of the municipal group.

The government team has planned aid and bonuses for the payment of the OVP, but when the premises are reopened the occupancy rate of the tables allowed in the de-escalation phase will be settled and from Compromís they think "That the suspension of the ordinance is more pertinent to help more urgently employers, and therefore also workers, suppliers and everyone who reaches the sector".

As Ronda added, after speaking with representatives of the hospitality industry, "Given the exceptional situation, exceptional and urgent measures such as this are necessary for many locals to dare to function under the conditions of the crisis". After the Popular Party has made a statement expressing this same proposal "We want to make our position public and go hand in hand with this measure, because we believe that it is the most appropriate and the one that the hospitality sector is demanding".
