In the next Ordinary Plenary Session of the Dénia City Council scheduled for Thursday, September 24, the municipal group of Citizens wants to debate a new motion that refers to the incorporation of health personnel to schools.
According to the spokeswoman for the municipal group Susana Mut Alemany, «debido a la pandemia del COVID-19 la salud en los centros educativos se ha convertido en uno de los mayores retos que en estos momentos tiene el actual Consell y en una de las mayores preocupaciones que tienen las familias y los equipos docentes»Therefore «las enfermeras y los enfermeros escolares deben convertirse en el eje de la promoción de la salud y la asistencia sanitaria en las escuelas. Es la única figura que puede dar garantías de una atención correcta en todos los centros educativos».
The motion of Citizens indicates that «la enfermera o enfermero escolar debe asesorar, apoyar e intervenir en todas las cuestiones que hacen referencia a los aspectos relacionados con el Covid-19 y en general con cuantas cuestiones sanitarias surjan en el centro educativo».
In this way, Mut stands out, as a spokesperson, to urge the Consell de la Generalitat Valenciana to incorporate a school nurse or nurse, immediately, in the educational centers supported with public funds of the Valencian Community funded entirely by the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as that the contingency plans of the educational centers are prepared, signed and supervised by health professionals and experts in
prevention of occupational hazards, in coordination with the primary care center on which each educational center depends.
