In the next Ordinary Plenary Session of the Dénia City Council scheduled for Thursday, September 24, the municipal group of Citizens wants to debate a new motion that refers to the incorporation of health personnel to schools.
According to the spokeswoman for the municipal group Susana Mut Alemany, "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, health in educational centers has become one of the greatest challenges currently facing the current Consell and one of the greatest concerns that families and teaching teams have"Therefore "Nurses and school nurses must become the axis of health promotion and healthcare in schools. They are the only figure that can guarantee correct care in all educational centers".
The motion of Citizens indicates that "The school nurse must advise, support and intervene in all issues that refer to aspects related to Covid-19 and in general with any health issues that arise in the educational center."
In this way, Mut stands out, as a spokesperson, to urge the Consell de la Generalitat Valenciana to incorporate a school nurse or nurse, immediately, in the educational centers supported with public funds of the Valencian Community funded entirely by the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as that the contingency plans of the educational centers are prepared, signed and supervised by health professionals and experts in
prevention of occupational hazards, in coordination with the primary care center on which each educational center depends.
That is very good, but if the Outpatients and Hospitals already have personnel problems, where are they going to get them from? And pay they will pay, right?
