09 2019 April - 11: 56

After several weeks of rumors, Center Unificat has finally confirmed that it will not attend the municipal elections of the next 26 in May.

The training led by Pepa Font believes that "The current situation in municipal policy does not meet the ideal conditions for a formation like Center Unificat to attend the next municipal elections", and so he has made known in a statement sent to the media.

From Center Unificat they consider that "the current vote dispersion does not benefit when it comes to a positive final result", so they have finally taken the option of not running for the mayoral elections in Dénia.

The centrists lament that "CU's efforts to integrate all the center forces in our city have not been supported by other political formations, only guided by personalist decisions that have never thought about the good of citizenship", referring to negotiations cut off with Citizens.

Center Unificat was presented in Dénia in the year 2007, always with Pepa Font as a visible head after his departure from the Popular Party. He was part of the pact that brought forward the motion of censure of the 2008. In 2011 he was a government partner of the PP of Ana Kringe, whose pact broke on the part of the popular in September of 2014, leaving them out of government. In 2015 attended the municipal elections with Gent de Dénia, getting the two councilors who currently has representation in the City.
