09 2019 April - 11: 56

After several weeks of rumors, Center Unificat has finally confirmed that it will not attend the municipal elections of the next 26 in May.

Led training Pepa Font consider that "The current situation in municipal policy does not meet the ideal conditions for a formation like Center Unificat to attend the next municipal elections", and so he has made known in a statement sent to the media.

From Center Unificat they consider that "the current vote dispersion does not benefit when it comes to a positive final result", so they have finally taken the option of not running for the mayoral elections in Dénia.

The centrists lament that "CU's efforts to integrate all the center forces in our city have not been supported by other political formations, only guided by personalist decisions that have never thought about the good of citizenship", referring to negotiations cut off with Citizens.

Center Unificat was presented in Dénia in 2007, always with Pepa Font as the visible head after leaving the Party. He was part of the pact that carried out the motion of no confidence in 2008. In 2011 he was a partner in the government of the PP of Ana Kringe, whose pact broke on the part of the popular in September of 2014, leaving them out of government. In 2015 they participated in the municipal elections together with Gent of Dénia, obtaining the two councilors who currently have representation in the City Council.
