Dianense companies Baleària and Cayro have renewed their collaboration agreement to expand the leisure and entertainment offer during the shipping lines with the aim of promoting the defense of the environment through games.

This summer, eleven Baleària ships that cover the Balearic Islands, between Ceuta and Algeciras and the lines linking Almería and Málaga with Melilla, distribute among their children passengers a book, printed on recycled paper, of pastimes dedicated entirely to the fauna and Flora of the sea and habits to preserve the marine ecosystem. Thus, the book includes a letter soup with dangerous objects for fish, reports on the devastating effect that tons of plastic poured into the sea have on many birds and species and reveals some endangered animals such as the green turtle Marine. In addition to the hobbies, the book leaves a blank space so that the youngest can participate in a drawing contest divided into three categories.

During the summer campaign, each vessel from Baleària has trunks full of games from Cayro to liven up the trip of young people and adults to the different destinations of the Mediterranean. They contain thirty different pieces, from the latest innovative proposals to the always renewed games.

The director general of Cayro, Rosario Carrió, explains that "On the sea routes, children can discover and understand the importance and beauty of our marine environment. The two companies have joined forces to give them a gift that entertains them and, at the same time, sensitizes them about the dangers that lurk to the environment". Years ago, the toymaker was marked as a target of the company "make everyone play, be as old as they are, and get, through the game, a better society".

For Baleària, this initiative reinforces its commitment to the environment as a key aspect of the company's sustainability policy. In this way, the shipping company "It creates value with activities on board that help raise awareness about the importance of preserving the marine environment" Said the Director of Onboard Services, Malik Alkarea.
