El arròs de batre especially emphasized by the green chickpeas, collected at the exact moment, which gives the recipe a special personality. This rice carries meat, snails, potato and carrot, was prepared in Batre time, towards the end of June and beginning of July.

It will be next Saturday, 4 of November, when Jesus Pobre will host this gastronomic event, framed in the project Creative City of Gastronomy UNESCO. The day will begin with the roundtable From L'Oblit to Taula, to the 12: 00 hours in the EATIM of Jesus Poor. At 14: 00 hours will be celebrated the food in the Great Riurau de Jesus Pobre, where diners can enjoy a menu for 12 euros consisting of a salad with products of the land, olives, sausages of the Navy, oil kettles, the rice, prepared by Al Tuu Gust, of Ondara; and typical sweets, all accompanied by wine and mistela of the region.

The mayor of Jesús Pobre, Javier Scotto, explained that this meeting aims to highlight three fundamental pillars: our gastronomy, the producers and the raw materials of the Marina Alta. For this, they have the collaboration of different town councils in the region: Jesús Pobre has worked on the collection of chickpeas, with 11 kilos prepared for this day. The Xaló City Council collaborates with the wines and mistelas that will be served in the meal, while that of Pego does it with the chocolate rice variety, which is very popular at this time. The desserts arrive from Ondara, which joins this project for the first time, thanks to the Pastisseria Victoria, considered one of the ten best patisseries of the Region of Valencia, which will elaborate Pastissets and coca.

It is worth highlighting the commitment to the comarcalidad that is made with this event, as indicated in its presentation the councilor of culture of the municipality of Ondara, Raquel Mengual, which has influenced that is "fundamental the union between the towns of the region".

Food tickets can be purchased at the Mercat del Riurau de Jesús Pobre on Sundays or at EATIM, and in Denia, through Aehtma or at the Hotel Costa Blanca. From the rest of municipalities of the region, they can reserve them through the collaborating city councils.
