The disappeared sign that indicated the passage of the Greenwich Meridian through Dénia appears
The City Council of Dénia has notified the appearance of the signal of the passage of the Greenwich Meridian through the capital of the Marina Alta, after it was notified of the disappearance of it earlier in the week.
As this medium published last Monday, the Marina Alta Astronomical Association reported the disappearance of the sign indicating the passage of the Greenwich Meridian through Dénia, a place of great interest for residents and visitors.
This sign was installed in March 2018 near kilometer 10 of Les Marines, and it remained there until a few weeks ago the place woke up without a trace of said element. Despite the fact that at the beginning everything pointed to a possible theft according to the same consistory recognized, today we know that it was not exactly what happened.
Apparently, the concessionaire of the advertising media located it, during the work they carried out in the place, fallen weeks ago, so they decided to keep it in order to protect it.
Now, the City Council will assess its status to decide whether to replace it or order a new signaling for that point.
