The Dénia City Council has finally announced the completion of the remodeling and pedestrianization works of the emblematic Glorieta del País Valencià. This space, originally created for family enjoyment and especially children, has undergone a significant transformation after more than a year of work.
The pedestrianization initiative Glorieta It emerged after the pandemic, when it was decided to eliminate vehicle traffic in the area next to the Marqués de Campo. The works, started in 2022, have managed to convert the Glorieta into a large square with green areas and benches, maintaining its central structure.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Maria Josep Ripoll, has shared the news through a video on social networks, highlighting that the main objective of the remodeling was to "recover spaces for people." It highlighted the improved accessibility with the construction of new ramps, as well as the incorporation of a new garden area and the planting of four banana trees that, as they grow, will complement the iconic image of the Marquis of Campo.

One of the criticized aspects, the lack of activity in the central fountain, will also be addressed with the installation of a new fountain. This will have a new set of water and lights, a significant change that is being coordinated with a specialized company.
