The Dianense athlete, Aïda Pérez, of the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, was participating in the second test of the "Skyrunner National Series", L'Alba race and Montserrat Marathon. Aïda Pérez had a great performance entering the finish line in the third female absolute position of the Monserrat Marathon, with a record of 5: 05.31.
In this edition the participation was very high in terms of number and at the same time of great level by the athletes. After a rainy night, the sun shone in Collbató from early in the morning. The collection of numbers was made in the culture center while the first marathon athletes were warming up.
At the 8 point, the marathon distance left the center of the town, to cover a distance of 42 km and more than 2.500 meters of accumulated positive height difference. In that line of exit were almost 300 athletes.
In the female category, Ester Casajuana, Anna Carné and Aida Pérez They formed the female head group, they advanced very close together in the passage through Sant Jeroni (1236m).
The women's race was very exciting until Ester Casajuana imposed a strong rhythm that helped him win the race with a time of 4: 51: 31. In the second place Anna Carné entered with a record of 4: 57: 04 and third was Aida Pérez with 5: 05: 31. Very good times in this fifth edition of the Montserrat Marathon that was also scored for the Skyrunner National Series.
