Registrations are open for the 6th Marina Alta Congrés d'Estudis organized by the IECMA

In less than a month he arrives at the Marina Alta an expected appointment by scholars from all areas of the region, the 6th Congress of Studies of the Marina Alta that organizes the IECMA. This year it does so as an itinerant format, with sessions in Dénia, Xàbia, Pedreguer and Teulada.

La presidenta de el Institut d’Estudis Comarcals, Rosa SeserHe stressed that the aim of the congress is «sentir que, después de cada edición, hemos conseguido ponernos al día en materia de investigación en la Marina Alta». Therefore, after the monographic edition dedicated to the expulsion of the Moriscos (2009 in Dénia) the IECMA has returned to bet on multidisciplinarity and visit different cities of the region.

In the 54 five sessions of Congress papers will be presented, «un gran éxito de participación»On archeology, prehistory and ancient history, medieval history, language, literature, ethnography and popular culture, modern history, contemporary history, architecture, fine arts and music, medicine and health, agriculture and environment and economy and tourism.

Dénia host, the 3 March at the Social Center, the opening day, with a lecture by Ferran Garcia-Oliver about the origin of the Valencians, and the performance of tenor José Luis Calpe's Luri. The closing day 12, will take place in Teulada.

The congress will be held 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12 March days, and inscriptions are now open on the website of IECMA. Attendance is free, but you must sign up to go to the training visit, receive a certificate of participation and minutes.
