The Dianense opposition votes for an anti-squatting motion that, finally, remains on the table

August 26 from 2020 - 10: 00

The Municipal Citizens Group of the Dénia City Council presented for debate and approval in the Citizen Security Information Commission, held last Thursday, a motion that calls for guarantee measures for the security and citizen coexistence against the illegal occupation of homes.

The proposal received the backing of all the opposition parties of the municipal council, PP, Commitments and Gent of Dénia. However, according to Ciudadanos, «por decisión del Concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, Javier Scotto, se quedó sobre la mesa para su estudio».

Many have been the municipalities of the Valencian Community such as Petrel, La Vila, Aspe, Monovar or San Vicente that have already approved the motion presented by the Orange Group, while in others it will go ahead in the Plenary called during the month of August, all them, with the vote in favor of the members of the PSPV in the aforementioned Town Halls.

Councilor Scotto has wanted to qualify this medium that it is not that «se haya quedado sobre la mesa»Rather, it understands that it is a motion in which there are too many legal and jurisdictional issues to be passed lightly. The PSPV has voted against the urgency, but it has opened an administrative file to collect the legal and technical reports that they believe are necessary to carry it out.

«Desde Ciudadanos, nos comprometemos a llevar de nuevo la moción para su aprobación en el Pleno del Ayuntamiento de Dénia, y defender los derechos de los propietarios de las viviendas», indicate from training.
