The Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has visited Dénia again, this time on the occasion of the presentation of D * NA Fòrum, where he has taken the opportunity to rethink the type of tourism that should be chosen and how to preserve it.
Colomer has been proud to be part of a project like D * NA, which he considers «un regalo de Dénia a toda la Comunitat Valenciana». For him, the town is «más que una ciudad», Ya que «exhibe los valores que quieren mostrar al mundo». These values are those of ethics and hospitality, with which they want to achieve sustainable tourism that respects the landscape here. «Sin Dénia sería muy complicado publicitarnos», assures the Secretary.
«El turismo es negocio, pero sobre todo son valores, ya que competimos en un gran mercado llamado mundo», declares Colomer. To achieve these objectives that are presented by the Ministry of Tourism, the City Council insists on enhancing its offer as a gastronomic destination to seasonally adjust tourism, avoiding living only in the sun and on the beach. The D * NA Forum is one of these initiatives that seek to achieve this by creating a showcase of this magnitude to advertise not only the cuisine here, but also the products of the Marina Alta since, as Colomer has emphasized, «la distancia más corta entre dos personas es la mesa».
