Dénia study with the Department of Natural Environment problems of access to Cova Tallada

07 October 2016 - 09: 33

Summer 2016 will go down in history as one of the most influx of visitors to Dénia and the Marina Alta, an influx that has been especially notable in emblematic places of the municipality such as the Cova Tallada.

Strong hits during the summer months have become complicated due to the large number of people who came by land and by sea, so the municipalities of Denia and Xàbia, together with the technicians of the Ministry of the Environment will study the accesses so that these situations do not come back to live in a place of special environmental interest.

Meeting on the Marine Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio

In a meeting held by the three governments this week in Dénia it agreed soon convene a technical workshop on custody and protection of the Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio to address issues affecting the area and hold a meeting with the Directorate of Natural Environment to address the problems of access to land and sea cueve.

These conclusions were adopted at a meeting with the Ministry of Environment in which several technical meetings were held to study the activity performed in the Marine Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio in order to control that do not affect the flora and fauna in the area.

The meeting-authorization monitoring of artisanal fishing in the marine reserve that was granted last year in Dénia and Xàbia boats to fish in waters of the reservation was made. It was agreed to continue on the same line continuing the permission granted to craft Dénia (10 in total) and Jávea (7) to fish the 1 October 2016 to 31 March 2017, with the restriction that only 3 can access boats a day.

Department technicians also met with representatives of diving clubs in the area to give them the draft decree regulating marine reserves of Valencia being developed by the Generalitat. This decree is to regulate aims, among other things, conditions and procedures for diving practices in special protection areas as the marine reserve of Cape San Antonio, streamline bureaucratic procedures and regulate fees divers can access daily east side.
