2013 is minijocs year

The plenary hall of the Dénia town hall hosted the presentation event of the X Mini Olympic Jocs of the Marina Alta, which will be held on May 24, 25 and 26 in the capital of the region.

The event, which was chaired by the Dianense mayor, Ana Kringe, was attended by the President of CEMA, Toni Reig, who was accompanied by other members of the Consortium, as well as mayors, councillors, technicians and sports coordinators from the participating populations.

The event, Toni Reig stressed, that will be a Mini, austere in their budget, Jocs having a reduction of 40% compared to those made two years ago. Reig said "We have exchanged money for imagination and I think they will turn out to be games as impressive as those that have been held before."

The Olympic torch will pass through all participating towns. It will begin its journey leaving from Calp on April 18 and will pass through Benissa, Teulada, Benitatxell, Xàbia, Xaló, Orba, Murla, Gata de Gorgos, Vall de Laguar, La Rectoria, Pego, El Verger, Els Poblets, Ondara, Beniarbeig , Benidoleig, Pedreguer, La Xara, until their arrival on the 22nd in Dénia.

As in previous editions Sports Basketball, Football, Futsal, Handball, Tennis, Athletics, Ball Valenciana, Karate, Badmiton, chess, swimming and gymnastics will be practiced.
