Youssef Ahatach and Maxine McKinnon were the winners of the XIII Half Marathon Dénia
The stars of the XIII Dénia City Half Marathon, Organized by the Athletics Club Baleària Dianium were, Youssef Ahatach and Maxine McKinnnon. The Llebeig Athletics Club athlete Xábia finished in first place crossing the finish line with a time of 1: 11.56. While the veteran athlete Athletics Club Baleària Dianium, Maxine McKinnon was the best in women with a mark of 1: 25.04.
At the start there was a participation of around 450 athletes who chose to perform 21.000 meters. They all enjoyed a good condition to run, there was no wind and the circuit was completely flat.
From the first meters of the race Youssef Ahatach, he was placed in the leading group by printing a steady pace that allowed him to have complete control of the race. He stood alone in the home straight where he received the heat of the crowd that awaited his arrival. He savored his triumph like no one since he had time to do so, his closest pursuer entered 53 seconds.
Something similar happened to the veteran athlete, Maxine McKinnon entered very prominent over the second classified. Maxine outstripped almost 4 minutes Cristina Roselló, proving to be the queen of background evidence despite his age.
