Contagions grow again in the Marina Alta while they descend in Dénia

The Ministry of Health has updated the coronavirus data by adding the positives obtained since last Friday in each municipality. In the Dénia health department, on which the entire Marina Alta depends, it suffers a slight rebound in new cases while in the capital they continue to decline.

The Marina Alta since last Friday has registered 21 new infections (8 more than in the last update). In total there are already 9.910, of which 60 are still active. Therefore, the accumulated incidence continues to increase and move the region away from the new normal. At the moment it stands at 35,16 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.

In the case of Dénia, 3 new infections have been detected in the last weekend (half that of the previous week). Active are 15 of the 3.083 cases added since March 2020, so the incidence drops slightly to 35,02. Although it cuts distance with the new normality, the regional capital remains in the area of ​​low risk of contagion.
