[VIDEO] This is how the program 'Valentes' portrayed María Ibars, a woman alone in a man's world

The program Valentes, from À Punt, devoted this week's chapter to the figure of the teacher and writer María Ibars, born in València but intimately linked to Dénia. You can see it by clicking on this image:

Despite only having a public photo of her, the program toured, through her texts, the life of this woman who, according to the writer Pepa Guardiola, was «sola en un mundo de hombres». The researcher Vicent Esteve offered a vision of the life of María Ibars, talking about her studies, the separation of her husband and her reunion with the also teacher Carles Salvador.

The program moved to Dénia to capture the scenarios that marked the life and work of María Ibars, and from here some of the people who best know the trajectory of the writer spoke, such as the Municipal Archiver of Dénia, Rosa Seser; the writer from Xàbia, Pepa Guardiola; the writer Carles Mulet; the professor and singer of the IES María Ibars, Jaume Ginestar; or the Chief Prosecutor of the Provincial Court of Valencia, Teresa Gisbert.

Thanks to all these testimonies, the program traces the trajectory of the teacher, author of some of the most beautiful texts and poems that best portray the landscape of Dénia in Valencian.
