HLA San Carlos has launched a new technique to treat herniated discs by endoscopy.

Spinal endoscopy is the most advanced surgical technique that currently exists. It involves introducing a camera inside the spine, producing a small incision between 7 and 10 mm with the help of dilators that separate the musculature and not section it, thus avoiding unnecessary bleeding and pain.

It is indicated for the treatment of any type of herniated disc and, being a minimally invasive technique, allows patients to walk within a few hours of completing the intervention and be discharged the same day.

"With the endoscopic approach we can treat the back problems generated by any lumbar disc herniation. Being such a non-aggressive technique is very useful for patients with chronic diseases, patients of advanced age, or those who need a quick recovery for work or sports reasons"Says HLA San Carlos traumatologist, Dr. Lizón,.

The endoscopy of column favors the reduction of pain in a shorter time without the inconveniences of a traditional surgery.
