An exhibition vindicates the importance of the struggle of women throughout history

Since yesterday Denia hosts a traveling exhibition under the title "Feminist syndicalist gifts" It vindicates the role of women and their important struggle over the years, from the Franco dictatorship and beyond the arrival of democracy.

The exhibition, organized by the equality secretariat of the CCOO trade union, uses a panel of posters to show a retrospective showing the constructive struggle of women in all areas in their constant fight for equality.

According to María Candelas, secretary of Equality of CCOO, the exhibition "He was born under the need to tell the fight of these women, who always remained in the background because they silenced their voices."

Despite the fact that the exhibition can already be visited in the lobby of the first floor of the Municipal House of Culture, it will be next Friday, January 18 at 19:30 p.m. when the official opening will be held, in which a talk about the exhibition and the documentary will be screened "Mom has worked." The exhibition is completed with a book that gathers 21 interviews to women.

Present at the presentation of the exhibition were the councilor for equality and social welfare of the Dénia City Council, Pepa Sivera, and Rosa Medel, representative of the Matria association, collaborators of the exhibition that can be visited until next January 30.
