A fire breaks out in the Montgó alarms

On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 9, around 17:00 p.m., a fire broke out in the Montgó Natural Park, in the municipality of Xàbia, at the height of the Ermita del Calvario. Two trucks from the Regional Fire Station, a Headquarters car, four air stations, and forest brigades and ADIF personnel, volunteers from Balcón al Mar and Civil Protection joined the scene of the events.

The rapid action of the extinguishing media was essential to control the flames, whose column of smoke disappeared just over an hour after the fire broke out. The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, moved to the place together with the mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, to check the progress of the works in situ.

They agreed to launch a message of reassurance to the residents of the area and moved that the media will continue to work over the next few hours.
