Just one day after the resignation of the former councilor of Social Welfare for being vaccinated against COVID-19 skipping the protocol set by Health, the City Council of Dénia celebrated the ordinary plenary session of January with, as is to be expected, the open wounds for what happened.

During the afternoon of Thursday, the government team faced a litmus test, as everything pointed to that they would have to render accounts to the opposition. Moreover, a joint motion of the PP, Citizens and Gent of Dénia had already been made public for this purpose, but that was finally not admitted despite the disbelief of the popular leader, María Mut, because, supposedly, it could not be carried out. carry out an investigation of that stature at the local level since it is not feasible with the data protection law.

However, the PSPV presented its own motion together with Gent de Dénia to demand that an investigation be opened by the body with authority in the field around the irregular vaccination process carried out in the Santa Llúcia Residence. In addition, it is assumed that there could be about 150 irregularly vaccinated throughout the Dénia health department, to which the Marina Alta belongs.

But the executive went further, partly encouraged by the insistence of the opposition groups, the spokesman for Compromís, Rafa Carrió being especially insistent. Before concluding the issue, after the approval of urging said investigation, the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, who also denied knowing previously the administration of the vaccine to the former councilor Morera with a forceful "I did not know", asked all the councilors of the City Council, from all political groups, to say if they had been vaccinated. One by one they gave their refusal, so the former mayor of Social Welfare would be the only one who has proceeded in this way.
