Sonja Dietz claimed SMEs as an engine of the economy in the VII Awards Gala CEDMA

The business community of the region met on Friday night in one of the rooms of the Hotel Dénia Marriott to celebrate its VII Gala of the CEDMA Awards, which distinguishes the work of several regional businessmen throughout history.

This year also it was a special celebration, because the gala also marked the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Círculo de Empresarios Marina Alta (CEDMA). To do an audiovisual in which several county persiodistas spoke about the role of the federation during these years was shown.

Likewise, the work of the founders of the circle was recognized, and Miguel Agulles, the first president of the Federation, was honored. Agulles, along with the current presidneta, Sonja Dietz, and the vice president of the Consell, José Císcar, presented to José Antonio Sánchez, key person in the foundation and development of CEDMA, an honorary Prize for all his recognized Nubian work.

After this recognition, chef Quique Dacosta, invited this year to make the central presentation of the event, took the floor, and the awards ceremony was opened.

Mª Carmen Timor, from TLC Dénia, excitedly recognized an award for her work throughout these 30 years of the existence of the language company. Enrique Plà, from Euroholding, wanted to remember in his thank-you speech one of Dénia's first business associations, the Association of Promoters. Finally, Francisco José Nardone, of the Restaurant La Solana de Alcalalí, collected his prize from the president of the Chamber of Alicante, Juan Bautista Riera.

Without being foreseen in the script, the mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, presented an extraordinary prize to Quique Dacosta, who had no news of this recognition.

To conclude the ceremony, the president of CEDMA Sonja Dietz made a very vindictive speech in which he threw ask management about the current economic situation and the solutions adopted to improve, instead of seeking to raise between the haves, «They choose the easy way, for SMEs, which do not have as much influence or power as large companies, but there are many of them. And these years we have had to endure more and more rules and regulations».

Dietz harshly criticized the measures taken in employment, which does not encourage the business community to hire new workers, measures that crossed out of "lethal for society as a whole". However, he was pleased with the measure announced and that the flat rate in hiring has already come into force, by which a businessman can hire unemployed people indefinitely for 100 euros per month.

The president also remembered the difficult situation currently faced by many young people who are too well prepared but for which there are no employment opportunities, and only aspire to have a living wage.

In the speech the president did not miss a mention to oil drilling sought by off our coasts, recalling the request sent from the CEDMA the European Parliament so that these works can not be executed because, as he said, "The future depends on it."

The VII CEDMA Awards Gala brought together more than one hundred regional businessmen on one of the most important nights of the calendar for all of them.
