A total of queries received during 4.597 2013 the social services department of Dénia. Of that total, 3.700 direct interventions were derived from the areas of the department, a considerable increase in recent years according to reports from the Department.

With all this demand, the Department of Social Services City of Dénia has made numerous performances of attention and helps people with the greatest needs, which resulted in 161.000 euros to meet the 594 cases processed.

As explained by the mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, the social welfare budget has been increasing according to the needs of the moment, cutting items from other departments to cover the population's demand.
